Should You File for Bankruptcy? [VIDEO]

Obviously, this is the most common question we hear from potential clients. Bankruptcy can be intimidating if you don’t know what’s involved – and that’s why we provide free consultation calls to everyone. I get a lot of questions from potential clients on should they file bankruptcy. Is it the right approach for them? I always tell these clients, it really just depends.

Ultimately, at the end of the day, it’s about controlling debt. It’s about putting you into a better position than when you’re making that phone call to us.

Bankruptcy law, for the most part, is just a word. You have to get past the word and look to the relief. That what we tell people that if you’re calling us, we have to run you through your financial picture. We have to understand what type of financial problems you’re having.

If you’re having problems with credit card debt, if you’re having problems with house payments, car payments – these are very powerful laws. They were created as powerful laws because we wanted to put people in a better situation… Give them a fresh start and start controlling the debt, so the debt was not controlling them.

So at the end of the day, if you’re having a tough time right now, it’s about making that phone call to us. Once you call us, we’re going to run you through your financial picture, we’re going to run through all the options, and we’re going to determine whether these laws are good for you.

If they’re not good for you, I’m going to let you know that. I talk to people every day where I tell them “this is not the right law for you, there are other options out there,” and I explain those options to them.
