Myth #1: After bankruptcy, you will have no credit for 7 to 10 years
There is no truth to the bankruptcy myth that you have to suffer through seven years with bad credit after filing bankruptcy. Bankruptcy does show on your credit report for 10 years, but even so, you can regain good credit in as little as two to three years.
